Dr Jason Hockings is a fully qualified Australian orthopaedic surgeon consulting in Melbourne and Albury. He provides comprehensive care for a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, with particular focus on hip, knee and shoulder surgery, as well as the management of orthopaedic trauma. ADVANCED TRAINING IN JOINT REPLACEMENT AND ARTHROSCOPIC TECHNIQUES
Dr Hockings has completed several advanced post-fellowship training programs in joint replacement, arthroscopic surgery, and shoulder reconstruction, both in Australia and internationally. These fellowships have equipped him with advanced techniques in:

- Hip Arthroscopy for Labral Tears and Femoroacetabular Impingement (FAI)
- Knee Replacement, including Revision Surgery

A COMMITMENT TO ADVANCED TRAINING AND ONGOING EDUCATION
Dr Hockings completed his medical degree at the University of Queensland and undertook several years of orthopaedic work prior to being accepted into the Victorian Orthopaedic Training Program, which he completed in 2021. He is a Fellow of both the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and the Australian Orthopaedic Association (FAOrthA).
To build on this foundation, he has undertaken extensive post-fellowship training, including:
Direct anterior approach hip replacement and hip arthroscopy with Professor John O’Donnell.
International observerships with Dr Frédéric Laude and Dr Pascal Vie, pioneers of the anterior approach in Europe.
Complex and revision hip and knee arthroplasty at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, with exposure to robotic-assisted joint replacement.
Shoulder, hip and trauma surgery with Dr Ed Bateman, including advanced tendon repairs, shoulder stabilisation procedures, and minimally invasive decompression techniques for nerve entrapment conditions.
